Papa Demers

During the first week in August, I will ride a bike for 200 miles from Sturbridge, MA to the eastern-most tip of Cape Cod, Provincetown. There will be sore legs, arms, and not to mention a sore butt. Before the ride I will raise at least $4000 by asking friends and family members to show their support for this important cause. Why would I put myself and everyone I know through all of this?

I am doing it because there are 5,400 other people doing the same thing. We are united in our mission to raise money to find a cure for cancer. Everyone knows someone who has been touched by this horrible disease. For me, it was my grandfather, a hard-working machinist, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, and role model, who's true love was for his family.
